Incremental Advances For California's High Speed Rail

It's a victory for California High Speed Rail advocates.  

Reports say the federal Surface Transportation Board has voted to authorize the construction of 114-miles of tracks between Fresno and Bakersfield.

The multi-billion-dollar High Speed Rail system would ultimately extend from Sacramento to San Diego, including San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, covering some 800-miles of tracks by the year 2029.
