Yesterday's the "Fix 50" Project didn't seem to have much of an impact on those bringing their kids to schools. Spokesman Gabe Ross says things ran smoothly and there were no widespread issues in the Sacramento City Unified District.

"We haven't seen anything dramatic at our schools, and I think that's a testament to the great work by the Caltrans team," Ross said.

Even so, the district is doing its best to keep parents informed of the latest project information.

"We've been using our social media to get the word out and providing information via e-newsletters to parents," he said.
