Jesuit High School is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and is prepping for another half century, with a big build out.

You may have already noticed some of the work that's under way on land across from Arden Hills.

"And you can see Jesuit High School from Fair Oaks for the first time because we've cleared more than 5 acres of land," Father David Suwalsky said.

Suwalsky is the president of the school and says on that site will sit a new chapel for mass and assemblies.

Further onto campus, work is under way renovating the stadium, runners can say goodbye to the dirt track. It's a $5 million project.

"We're about halfway there right now. We hope to get the other half by December," Suwalsky said.

Current students already received their anniversary gifts, the school is now using iPads for textbooks.
