A Massachusetts judge is signing off on a prison transfer for former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.
Bristol County District Attorney Sam Sutter says this won't expedite the trial.
"The judge pointed out the complications that can take place in a two to three month trial with Thanksgiving and Christmas. So, the defense is going to let the judge know within seven days what they prefer," Sutter said.
Hernandez will be moved from a Bristol jail to a state jail near Boston.
That will give him better access to his lawyers as he prepares for two murder trials.
Hernandez is accused of killing semi-pro player Odin Lloyd in one incident and shooting two other men outside a Boston nightclub in the other.
