The Sacramento Kings have cleared their last legal hurdle in the building of a new downtown arena.

A Superior Court Judge in Sacramento has denied an injunction aimed to halting construction, essentially giving the green light to construction.

Team president Chris Granger says the move is another step closer toward "an entertainment and sports center that will revitalize downtown" and improve our economy and quality of life.

There's still a focus on a grand opening in the fall of 2016. Demolition of Downtown Plaza is expected to begin before month's end.
