The Sacramento Kings are predicting some big losses if arena construction gets tied up in court.

In new filings, Kings exec John Rinehart states even a small delay resulting from a citizen's lawsuit could push the downtown project past its October 2016 completion date.

The team wants opponents to post a 100 million dollar bond to offset that, noting the sixty million already paid for the site, fines from the NBA for a timetable slip, and the loss of wages for construction workers.

The suit was filed under the environmental quality act and seeks an injunction to any building. Demolition at Downtown Plaza is scheduled to begin by month's end.
