A former Granite Bay Little League coach who sued a 14-year-old player has dropped the lawsuit.

Jim Donahue, an attorney who resented the player and his family, tells the Sacramento Bee that Alan Beck has also agreed to reimburse the boy's family over $1,500 in court costs.

The lawsuit stems from an incident in which Beck had claimed that he was injured by the player when he through his helmet while celebrating a win.

Beck claimed his Achilles tendon had been partially torn.

The suit sought damages for lost wages, medical expenses, general damage, loss of earning capacity and legal costs.
