Better late than never for the ski resorts in Lake Tahoe, that just saw their busiest weekend of the year finally arrive in Mid-February.

A few recent storms dropped several feet of fresh powder, and the conditions allowed snow making machines to add to the snow pack.

Amelia Richmond is with Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.

"We had an amazing weekend here. Great turnout, lots of people here. We had just seen five-and-a-half feet of new snow, followed by a few more inches this weekend, which really made for some great skiing and riding conditions," she said.

Peter Avedschmidt with Sugar Bowl says the snow brought the crowds.

"We had great business levels. Really, really good pre-President's Day storm allowed us to open all of our lifts except one, and a ton of people up here enjoyoing it," he said.

More snow is expected in the next week, and the resorts say they expect great conditions for the rest of the season.
