The LA city council is looking to put strict regulation on electronic cigarettes.
The proposed ordinance would make using e-cigarettes at restaurants, parks, beaches, and elsewhere as illegal as smoking in those spots. Supporters of the plan say the rising popularity of e-cigarettes has led to teenagers using them even at school. Opponents of the ban say using e-cigarettes actually helps people stop smoking. The city council is expected to vote on the ordinance on March 4th.
