A man who was convicted of killing an officer in a head-on crash back in 2004 is under arrest again after leading police on a chase through Citrus Heights last night, officers said.

Scott St. Pierre is in custody after he allegedly started a chase down Madison that ended in a four-vehicle crash.

The chase ended on Auburn Boulevard near Winding Way when St. Pierre allegedly struck three other vehicles. No officers were involved in the crash.

St. Pierre was convicted in the death of correctional officer Jerry Walker in a car crash, almost 10 years ago. Just hours before the crash, St. Pierre was released from jail for a drunken driving arrest. St. Pierre was driving with a suspended license at the time of both crashes.
