A man is facing a number of charges in connection to a wildfire in Shasta County.

The Shasta County District Attorney's Office says 37-year-old Freddie Alexander Smoke III is looking at a charge of involuntary manslaughter and three counts of recklessly causing the Bully Fire.

A man's body had been found on July 16 at the site of the fire, which officials say was triggered by the exhaust system in the vehicle Smoke was using.

Smoke is a suspected marijuana farmer and was arrested back on July 11 at a pot-growing facility.
