Police are charging a 32-year old Sacramento women with murder after a shooting Thursday night on the light-rail.

The transgender woman is in the Sacramento County Jail, accused of firing the shots that killed a man as the train traveled near 11th and O Streets.

"Based on video surveillance on the train and at the station there appears to be some kind of conversation between the two," said Lt. Norm Leong.

Lt. Leong added that it escalated to the point where Lynnsey Braun pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots,

"The victim was found outside the train and was declared deceased at the scene," he said.

Two others were on the train at the time of the shooting were unharmed.  Light rail service was back to normal by the next morning's rush hour.
