The man who shot and killed a Sacramento musician during a 2009 burglary was given the death penalty today.
Ronnie Vang, 32, was convicted of first degree murder and six other felony counts in the death of Keith Fessler -- a Kaiser Permanente technician who wrote and performed music and collected guitars.
A Superior Court Judge agreed with the jury's death recommendation because Vang hog-tied Fessler and shot him in spite of the 44-year-old victims' pleas for his life.
Vang had been paroled from prison just four days earlier.
His 27-year-old cousin Joson has already been sentenced to life in prison for his role in the crimes, which also include an arson fire the men set following the killing.
