Flood protection money continues to flow into the Sacramento area.

A new Army Corps of Engineers plan has set aside $106 million for various projects around the region -- $34 million more than originally allocated.

Projects covered by the money include $66 million for the Folsom Dam spillway, another $3 million to raise the Folsom Dam itself, another $25 million will be allocated to improve levees along the American River, $1 million will be used for the Natomas Levee Improvement project. And $10 million will go toward protection improvements along Florin Creek.
