More Cal State Universities are considering an added student fee.

Nine Cal State campuses -- including Los Angeles, Northridge and San Jose -- already have so called "student success fees" in place that are meant to improve student retention and graduation.

The "LA Times" reports Fullerton, Dominguez Hills, Fresno and San Diego are now considering the fees that range from $200 to $500 a semester.

University officials say their campuses have not recovered from years of cuts while opponents say the fees should be included in the tuition.
