More than 107,000 Californians have signed up for new health coverage.

We are leading the nation with sign-ups, making up about a third of them. The new data from the feds today comes before the official release of state numbers tomorrow, but they're a good indicator.

"We don't expect any marked difference," Covered California Spokesman James Scullary said.

Scullary says the pace from October to November doubled, with more than 76,000 enrollees. He expects that number to grow as we approach a deadline. If you want coverage by Jan. 1, 2014, you need to sign up by Dec. 23.

"You need to go through the enrollmet process. You need to pick a plan," he said.

Telephone lines have been backed up, so call centers will be open the next two Sundays.
