More people are working in California in all 26 counties measured by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Many of those jobs are higher paying professional jobs.

In the National report California added more jobs than any other state.

"In the Sacramento area over the year a 5.5 percent increase in professional and business service industry and a 5.3 percent increase in education and health services," said Matthew Insco an Economist with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Insco says Sonoma County saw the biggest jump in jobs at 5.2 percent. Placer County came in next at 4.7 percent.

Mariposa county's average weekly wage of $624 dollars was the lowest among all counties in the state.
