A report says Apple is set to release a new set-top TV box that will feature content provided by Time Warner Cable.

"Bloomberg" says Apple is trying to unveil the device by April and have it available for sale by Christmas.

A deal with Time Warner would be a first with a cable or satellite company to provide a wider range of live TV channels.

The report did not say how the recent proposed merger between Tim Warner and Comcast would affect the release date.
