New data used to determine the path of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has been released.

The new satellite data suggests Flight 370 ran out of fuel and crashed.

Experts say the data provides further evidence that the plane crashed into the Indian Ocean after heading south and running out of fuel.

The data comes from Malaysia's Civil Department of Aviation and the British satellite firm Inmarsat.

Relatives of the missing passengers have begun publishing the data on their Facebook pages.

Meanwhile, the underwater search for Flight 370 has been put on hold this week, and a top Australian official says it may not resume until August.

Australian officials say it could take more than a year to finish searching the ocean floor in the area where the plane may have crashed.
