New Jersey Senator Cory Booker is vowing to fight the Hobby Lobby ruling that lets private employers refuse to offer birth control if they have a religious objection to it.
"A woman should have the right to make their own contraceptive decisions. It is not their boss' business, it is their business," he said.
Booker is co-sponsoring a Senate bill designed to override the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision.
"A woman's health care decisions should be between a woman and her doctor, and there is no room in that equation whatsoever for the employer," Booker said.
His bill is called the "Not My Boss' Business Act" and would force for-profit businesses to cover the full range of contraceptives for their employees. The Affordable Care Act requires that.
