A new project is hoping to bring Lake Tahoe to the movie screen.

"We have a couple research divers that are gathering some underwater scenes using some 3-D cameras and getting us some views that I'm interested to see and I'm sure other would enjoy those views, as well," Heather Segale said.

Segale is the Education and Outreach Director at the Tahoe Environmental Research Center.

She says the filming took place over the course of a year and documented all sorts of changes in the lake.

She says the movie, "Let's Go Jump in the Lake," should be done later this summer and can be seen at the Tahoe Science Center in Incline Village.
