New Space Station Crew Launches From Russia

Despite increasing tensions between the U.S. and Russia, the two nations continue their cooperation in space.  

A Soyuz rocket carrying two Russian cosmonauts and one American astronaut launched from Kazakhstan on a mission to the International Space Station. 

The two Russians are joined in their small capsule by veteran American flier Steve Swanson. 

The Soyuz is scheduled to rendezvous and dock with the International Space Station overnight where the crew will be welcomed by the three men already living in orbit.
