Northwestern football players are casting secret ballots on whether to form the nation's first union for college athletes.
76 Northwestern University football players were eligible to vote whether or not to unionize or not. According to a University spokesman, The National Labor Relations Board will not be revealing how many of them did vote, nor the results.
First the NLRB will need to decide Northwestern University's appeal of the original ruling that allowed the union vote to happen in the first place. That decision could take months.
One player headed to vote was asked his view, he said he was going to do what was best for the team.
