Officials say Oakland Mayor Jean Quan was one of two drivers in a minor traffic collision, but wasn't hurt.
Oakland police tell the San Francisco Chronicle that Quan was involved in the crash at a West Oakland intersection Sunday evening.
A statement from the mayor's office says it was a two-car collision and it appears another vehicle hit the back of Quan's car. The statement says "the mayor is unharmed and we're hopeful that no one else was injured either."
Witnesses including the other driver tell KRON-TV that Quan was talking on her mobile phone and wasn't paying attention before the crash.
Reached by phone, the mayor told the TV station the collision wasn't her fault and it's clear from her car that she was the one who was hit.
