Two men are arrested in Placer County in separate cases of seeking minors online for sexual encounters.

23 year old Matthew Ishizaki arrived in Auburn hoping to meet a 13 year old boy he'd been chatting with online.  Instead, he met a Placer County Detective who had been posing as the boy.

Placer Detectives also arrested 38 year old Ryan Cook at his workplace after he didn't show for a planned meeting with what he thought was a 13 year old girl.

Both suspects were charged with arranging to meet a minor for purposes of committing a sexual act.  The Sheriff’s Office asks parents to educate themselves and become comfortable with the Internet and to communicate the dangers and risks of being online with your kids...
