The Placer County Sheriff's Office received $100,000 in grant money to battle underage drinking and alcohol sales to minors.

The state Department of Alcoholic Beveral Control provided the grant to help the Auburn, Lincoln and Rocklin police departments.

Those police departments are using the grants to investigate shoulder taps, decoys and general enforcement operations. So far, deputies have visited 25 licensed businesses, cited 47 individuals and made 14 arrests for DUI, possession of a controlled substance, possession for sale as well as other crimes.
