Allegedly driving drunk and causing an accident are the least of a Woodland man's troubles.

Super Bowl weekend will be remembered as a tragic one for the family of an 85-year-old Davis woman. She was hit from behind by a drunken driver who ran off the road on East Covell Boulevard and Baywood Lane into a tree, according to police.

She had to be cut out of the wreck by emergency crews, her injuries so severe she died on the way to the hospital.

Davis Police say Armando Gonzales, driving drunk, kept on going.

He made it another two blocks before police say he rear ended another car injuring the driver of that vehicle, too.

Police caught up with Gonzales and he is now in Yolo County Jail facing manslaughter charges.
