One suspect is in custody Thursday morning after a high-speed pursuit of a truck police say was stolen.
A Woodland neighborhood was under virtual lockdown this morning as the California Highway Patrol searched for the suspect.
Officers began pursuing the truck around 5:30 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 at the Interstate 505 split near Dunnigan.
The driver continued to Woodland, reaching speeds as high as 100 m.p.h., before they exited at West Street and tried to ram other vehicles head on.
Officers backed off the pursuit out of concern for public safety but later found the truck crashed outside a home in the area of Palomar Lane and West Street.
The driver was not found with the truck. And police began a search in the area. A person was taken into custody a short time later.
