Many people in East Sacramento are upset with a proposed housing project called McKinley Village.
People living near the area where McKinley Village would be built if approved by the city say they're worried about overcrowded schools.
Since the project calls for more than 300 homes on 50 acres near the Cap City Freeway, resident Ellen Cochrane told News10 traffic will be a nightmare.
"Every little piece of traffic in this neighborhood has a ripple effect," Cochrane said.
Megan Norris with Riverview Capital Investments says the city did a thorough impact study.
"They found the traffic to be less than significant after mitigation," Norris said.
The project will be considered next month by the Sacramento planning commission.
