Rancho Cordova Residents to Pay for Sidewalk Repairs
Posted September 3rd, 2013 @ 8:10am

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. -- Rancho Cordova may soon force property owners to pay for their own sidewalk repairs. At its meeting tonight, the city council will hear a proposal to make sidewalk maintenace the responsibility of both business and residential home owners.

The change would put the city in line with state regulations and mirror existing law in Sacramento, Roseville, and West Sacramento. It's estimated the average repair bill is between $1,000 and $1,500. There are a million dollars' worth of repairs needed in Rancho Cordova.
