In honor of Veterans Day, a variety of events -- and business discounts -- are set to honor those who've served our country.

Veterans Day parades will be held in numerous cities around the region today. Sacramento's gets underway at 11 a.m. this morning, with a children's carnival, food trucks and float and band contests to highlight the post-parade festival.

The California Railroad Museum celebrates the day with special excursion train rides at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

World War Two veteran and Legion of Honor Chevalier Award recipient Dick Dennison will be abord the 1 p.m. train!

You'll want to show up in style -- and that means in a clean car. The Quick-Quack Car Wash can help. They're offering a free wash for veterans today.

And, of course, restaurants around the region will be offering a variety of discount for our local heroes!
