Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington state says Republicans have a plan to solve many of the issues facing the nation, including increasing wages for women.

Delivering the GOP's weekly address, McMorris Rodgers says women are being politicized and called for focusing on how their role in the workforce can be expanded.

'Republicans are acting on solutions to make that happen. Solutions that will empower women and eliminate barriers they face to better jobs, better paychecks and better lives,' she says.

Rodgers says the issue for women across the country isn't just about equal pay for equal work, it's about achieving a better life.

She claimed Republicans are acting on solutions to help women achieve their goals. She said that under the President the unemployment rate rose for women last month.
