Tensions are high in Ukraine after the parliament in Moscow gave Russian President Vladimir Putin the OK to send troops to Ukraine to protect Russian interests. Now, the U.S. is calling for international monitors to help prevent the crisis from growing.

Russia's Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin spoke at an emergency meeting of the U.N. security council. He says radical elements have taken over Ukraine's government saying those opponents in Kiev have to get away from the radicals and back to the territory of Ukraine because such actions they are taking could lead to a very difficult development.
