The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is asking for help in identifying a body found yesterday in Walnut Grove.  The body was discovered near Snodgrass Slough and was burned beyond recognition.  That's why detectives are releasing a description in hopes someone will recognize the victim.

"She's a white female adult between the ages of 35-45 years old.  She's believed to be between 5'1" and 5'4" tall, weighing about 130lb," said Sgt. Lisa Bowman.

Sgt. Bowman added that the woman had light brown or blonde hair and was wearing a unique dual-band ring on one of her left fingers.

"It looks to be a vintage style ring, it's looks to be a silver color ring, and there is a square diamond in the center of one of the bands.  On each side of the large diamond are approximately six or seven round stones," she said.

The woman also had a mole on her lower back.  If you might know who she was, or have any related information, you're asked to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau.
