Sacramento International Airport will be holding a 90-minute training course for airline, airport and county employees on how to identify victims and suspects of human trafficking.
The course will be held today at the airport along with Airlines Ambassadors, the Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition and Run For Courage.
Human trafficking, defined as people profiting from the exploitation of others by use of force, fraud, or coercion, is a $9.8 billion industry.
The average age of victims is 12 to13 years old.
Traffickers have misrepresented themselves as coaches, employers and family members of trafficked victims.
