An overnight Sacramento restaurant fire near J and 36th streets is out after fire fighters were able knock down the flames very quickly.

Even though this was a two-alarm fire, Sacramento City Deputy Chief Niko King says fire fighters kept it contained to the kitchen.

"We called the second alarms because it was a commercial building and there are residents close by. But the crews were able to get the fire knocked down," King said.

And King says those homes were not in any real danger of burning.

There was no obvious reason for the fire spotted early on. An investigator will take a closer look.
