Sacramento International Airport Making Huge Cuts

With passenger traffic dropping 20 percent in the last seven years and the airport in debt more than $1,000,000,000 thanks to construction on its newest terminal, something had to be done, and managers have a plan to shave $14 million in costs a year, by passing some of those cuts onto vendors.

That's causing layoff notices to be issued to employees who clean, tend the registers, and shuttle us back and forth, affecting about 30 people whose last day will be Sunday.
