Some Sacramento police officers are being credited with going to extraordinary lengths to save a life.

Police got a call about a woman spotted on the roof of a parking garage in Old Sacramento.

"Well, a few officers arrived on scene and they quickly made it up to the top floor where the female was actually hanging off the ledge," Sacramento Police spokeswoman Michele Gigante said.

Gigante says this happened Sunday morning, and one officer allowed two other officers lower him down to the woman by his belt.

"And that's when he was able to grab the female and pull her back over," she said.

Turns out she had an oustanding warrant and was later booked into jail.
