With fire and law enforcement officials warning they are cracking down this year on illegal fireworks, the roadside stands you see all over the place are expecting sales to continue to skyrocket.

Industry officials say after a dip in sales during the recession, we are buying more firecrackers, sparklers and the like. 

According to the American Pyrotechnics Association, consumer sales have climbed steadily from $600 million in 2006 to $662 million  last year. 

They project sales this year to be $675 million.
