Eight cooling centers have opened throughout San Joaquin County today.

The centers provide an air-conditioned facility to offer people relief from the heat.

The Human Services Agency advises individuals who do not have ready access to a cool environment, particularly those at risk for heat-related illness, to utilize the shelters.
