Search for Missing Musician Turns to Drones
Posted Tuesday, March 11th 2014 @ 6am  by KFBK News - Tom Cutler

The search for a missing drummer from Sacramento is going high tech.

A drone used for search and rescue missions has been brought in to sweep the shoreline of the Sacramento River in Miller Park near the Sacramento Marina area for missing drummer Broughty Cole.

Cole's car was found at the marina on Saturday after he missed a gig in Nevada City.

Since the disappearance, family, friends and musicians are all working together to try to find Cole. Friend Grey Cat describes for News10 this latest tool being used in the search.

"Cover as wide of an area as possible along the river with a GoPro camera attached to a drone," he said.

Cole has been missing now for a week.

The 28-year-old was last seen on March 3. He's described as 5'10, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Friends and family are holding a candlelight vigil tonight at 7 p.m. at Miller Park by the Sacramento Marina.
