At least 18 people are dead after tornadoes swept across the Plains and the South on Sunday.  Arkansas Representative Tim Griffin says he saw one complete subdivision destroyed.

"These are brick homes, probably built in the past three years or so.  The entire development, completely gone.  Some of the homes were completely gone down to the concrete foundation," he said.

Hardest hit was Arkansas, where the death toll stands at 16 this morning.  Another death has been confirmed in Oklahoma and one in Iowa.

While folks will be busy today searching for more victims and beginning to pick up the pieces of their shattered communities, they're also bracing for more severe weather. President Obama is offering his deepest condolences to people who lost loved ones and homes.
