All the Democratic women in the Senate gathered together to help push for an increase in the minimum wage.

With Senate Leader Harry Reid still a few votes short of what he'd need to pass an increase in the minimum wage the Senate's Democratic women say they'll take the lead in pushing the issue, because 2/3 of minimum wage workers are women, many working full time to support children but still living in poverty.

"We must do it for the millions of women who are struggling to make ends meet," said Democrat Barbara Boxer.

Republicans generally oppose raising the minimum wage, saying it would reduce employment.
