With water supplies threatened by one of the dryest January's on the books, Senate leader Daryl Steinberg says its time to consider a new California water bond.  He also believes that we should also spend money approved in prior bonds.

"There are still significant unexpended dollars from prior bonds that the voters have passed," the senate leader said.

The legislature has twice deferred putting a new water bond on the ballot, and Gov Jerry Brown has been non-commital on whether the voters should be asked to foot the bill on a new bond measure this year.
