There's still no word on exactly when ship traffic will start moving again through the Houston Ship Channel.

The waterway has been shut down since Saturday after an oil barge collided with a cargo ship, spilling 168-thousand gallons of fuel oil.   U.S. officials say the reopening of the channel will be "tapered" and the resumption of marine traffic will not be a floodgate.

There's a line of more than 80 vessels trying to move in or out of the Gulf of Mexico.

Texas wildlife agencies say that fewer than ten oil-covered birds have been recovered for cleaning.
