Police in Woodland have released a sketch of a man suspected of forcefully taking a 15-year-old girl into a wooded area and attempting to sexually assault her.

Authorities have been on the lookout since the girl was able to break free and run to safety from the area of East Gum Avenue and Kate Lane.

At the time of the attack, the man was wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt, light blue jeans with white paint splattered on them, and a green Oakland A's baseball cap.

He is believed to be in his 30s with a short, stocky build, brown eyes, and a thick brown mustache.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Woodland Police Department at 530-666-2411.
