Two people were found dead inside a South Sacramento home today. They were discovered by a SWAT team that entered the home to investigate a report of shots fired in the neighborhood.
The report of shots prompted officials to lock down Camelia Basic School on Glenhill Way in South Sacramento. The lock down was lifted as officers investigated the scene. There are no reports of injuries on campus. The school remained on lock down for about 20 minutes.
The Sacramento Police Department said they received a call from a resident reporting the sounds of gunfire.
The SWAT team was sent to the 6300 block of Glenhill Way and medical personnel were sent in after the shooting injuries were discovered. Police say injuries to one of the dead were self inflicted.
