It's no secret that Americans spend a lot of time with electronic gadgets.
We're on computers at work, on our smart phones when we're away from the desk, have the radio on for the commute home and then switch on the ol' tube when we walk in the front door.
But just how much time does the average American spend on electronic devices? It's actually a little shocking. According to Nielsen's most recent Cross-Platform Report, Americans aged 18 or older spend almost 11 hours per day using gadgets.
Considering most people are awake 16 to 18 hours a day, 11 hours of electronic media seems like a lot.
