A new study says U.C. Berkeley is the worst major school in the country at graduating its football players.

The study by the NCAA says just 44 percent of Cal's football players finished school, ranking them last among the 72 teams in the major football-playing conferences.

The graduation figures represent the four-year average of freshmen who enrolled from 2003-04 through 2006-07 and were given six years to graduate.

Stanford by comparison is among the national leaders at 93 percent, with San Jose State checking in at 51 percent.
