A recent survey lands Sacramento on a dubious list of bad cities for landing a job.

Five of the top 10 cities dubbed worst for young people to get a job are in California, and Sacramento is one of them.

The Capital City ranks seventh on the list from the Brookings Institute.

247wallst.com, says employment of young people in the area declined 13 percent between 2000 and 2012.

The study also says more than 10 percent of Sacramento's workforce was unemployed in 2012.

The study also found Modesto, Fresno, and Stockton, had an unemployment rate of 15.2 percent, tied for the highest in 2012, making them very hard for young professionals to get work.
